Volt is immediately hiring for an Assembler!
As an Assembler you will :
- Build basic Level I assemblies using engineering and manufacturing documentation under supervision.
- Perform various operations, including rework, requiring an understanding of the functional operation of the items assembled and the finished product.
- Oversee quality activities, including self-inspection.
- Collaborate with Engineering to assemble prototype units from written instructions.
- Assemble / disassemble mechanical and electrical assemblies using hand tools such as screwdrivers, torque wrenches, and standard wrenches, and operate basic test equipment.
- Perform basic functional tests, including dielectric, bonding, and continuity tests.
This is a Full-time opportunity
12 month assignment- opportunity for conversion
The ideal candidate will :
- Basic understanding of electro-mechanical assembly operations.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, torque wrenches, and standard wrenches.
- Ability to operate basic test equipment and perform functional tests (dielectric, bonding, continuity tests).
- IPC 610 Certification or a valid RF / testing certificate is a plus.
Pay Rate : $20-$22 / Hour
Shift : 6 AM - 2 : 30 PM (Possible overtime from 2 : 30 PM - 4 : 30 PM)
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
