Requirements :
- Hold an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or a related field.
- Possess state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in Massachusetts.
- Previous experience in school-based settings is preferred.
- Strong understanding of local and state regulations governing speech-language therapy services in schools.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in conducting evaluations and assessments under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Implement individualized treatment plans to address speech and language disorders.
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students, focusing on improving communication skills and enhancing participation in school activities.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and team members to support students' academic and communication success.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, student progress, and other required records.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings as necessary.
