Your new role
WBD DTC’s Global Identity & Authentication team seeks a Software Developer II to join our dedicated IOS SDKs team. As a Software Developer II within our SDKs team, you will collaborate closely with staff / senior engineers, product, designer and backend teams to deliver scalable identity and authentication platforms.
You play a critical role in building an IOS andTVOS platform which can be scaled and configured by different tenants.
We are in search of a seasoned ios developer who is committed to engineering excellence and driven by passion for continuous learning and advancement in both technical skills and architectural design.
Responsibilities
- You will develop different identity and account management features required by multiple brands, including Max, D+, Bleacher report, Discovery + and more.
- You will apply the software design pattern and principles defined by SDK teams to your daily coding and code reviewing process.
- You are actively involved in our regular coding sessions to learn from others and exchange technical options, constantly seeking feedback from peers to grow.
- You can troubleshoot a production issue by reviewing source code, logs, operational metrics, stack trace, etc. to pinpoint a specific problem and then resolve it.
- Work closely with the product / design team to build a customer-centric product.
- Provide strong support to our client teams who consume platforms.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3y prior experience building IOS applications using Swift, ideally familiar with swfit UI.
- Must be willing to work Hybrid (3x) in the Bellevue / Seattle, WA OR New York, NY Office
- Experience in building customer facing applications.
- Excellent communication skills and understanding of Product requirements and priorities
- Technical awareness and prior experience of shipping (academic) IOS applications (Kotlin) is a plus
- A clear understanding of testable, scalable and resilient products is desired
- Recommend technical developments and software to enhance / improve our app.
- Opportunities to be involved in cross-platform projects on a large scale in 10+ countries, so a willingness to learn is a must
- Working with multiple stakeholders (internal and external partners) with different goals, objectives and aspirations. Effective communication skills will be key.
- Knowledge of key design and architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVI and SOLID principles
- Knowledge of TDD and associated frameworks (JUnit, Espresso, Mockito) is desirable
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs to operate
- Knowledge of development best practices, including coding guidelines
