Role Description
This is a full-time on site role for a Litigation Paralegal at Carpenter & Zuckerman. This Litigation Paralegal will aid in all the trial preparation needs for litigation team, with moderate supervision.
Responsibilities
- Propound and respond to written discovery
- Calendar all dates with use of calendaring and case management software
- Monitor statute of limitation dates for filing lawsuits and government claim deadlines
- Prepare summons and complaints, statement of damages, applications for publication, guardian ad litem forms, etc.
- Schedule depositions, hearings and QMEs.
- Order medical reports and organize case management statements
- Calendar all dates with use of calendaring and case management software
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Strong command of the English language including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form, and style
- Strong knowledge of the Code of Civil Procedure
- Ability to compose correspondence
- 3-5 years of experience in a Plaintiff Personal Injury Litigation Firm
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
