Heavy Equipment Operator
Essential Job Functions :
The following are typical duties for this position. These are not to be considered exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required
- This position involves operating various pieces of equipment used in the construction division including, but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, front-end loaders, skid steers, asphalt and dirt rollers
- The Operator may perform functions of a Laborer as required
- Operate heavy machinery safely as part of a crew
- Perform operator-level maintenance on the machine
- Understand safe working loads and signals
- Handle trench boxes of all sizes and shapes
Requirements
- Must have 3 years of verifiable experience operating heavy machinery with knowledge of equipment operations and maintenance.
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods.
- Ability to make repetitive movements while handling objects. Ability to climb in and out of trenches, bend, squat and lift 75lbs.
- Work outside in all weather conditions at various locations.
- Must be punctual and have reliable transportation to job sites.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
