About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : ICU Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 30) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 1 year required License : Active RN license required (pending license not accepted) Certifications : BLS & ACLS required;
NIH, TNCC preferred Must-Have : COVID-19 vaccination required - religious and medical exemptions accepted with completion of exemption form Job Description : Work in a community-based hospital with a mix of ICU, Sub-acute, and floor status patients.
- ICU nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 2; SAC ratios 1 : 4; Floor ratios 1 : 5.- Manage patients with various conditions such as Sepsis / Septic Shock, Renal Failure, ARDS, Respiratory Failure, and more.
- Required skills include chest tube insertion, intubations, paracentesis, thoracentesis, CRRT, arterial lines, central lines, and more.
- Will occasionally float to other inpatient units as needed.- Participate in the management of various protocols and monitoring systems (e.
g., FloTrac / Vigileo monitoring).- Provide patient care including ventilator management, phlebotomy, wound care, and blood product administration.
Assist with chest tube insertion / removal, interpretation of ABGs, and the management of surgical wounds with drains.- Work every other weekend;
the nurse is required to be available for a minimum of 13 weekends. Additional Information : This is a night shift position that requires working three 12-hour shifts per week.
- The facility prefers 48-hour contracts for better scheduling flexibility.- Note that block scheduling is not guaranteed.
- Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are not accepted.- Ensure you have a valid driver's license or provide a transportation plan if not.
