A seasonal restaurant in Oakland, CA seeks a full or part-time experienced Pastry Chef / Pastry Cook .
We are a laid-back restaurant featuring modern California-Mediterranean cuisine always fresh, mindfully prepared, casually served, and better when shared.
Our food is made from whole ingredients that are locally sourced and recipes drawn from and inspired by tradition.
The ideal candidate is focused and committed to their craft as well as experienced. You thrive well working independently and on a motivated team.

Compensation and benefits :
- $25-29 hourly with tips or a $48K salary

Schedule requirements :
- 30-40 hours per week
- Tuesday through Saturday
Language requirements :
- English
- Spanish helpful
- Hebrew helpful
Must have experience :
- 2+ years of previous experience
- Culinary school education preferred
- Food safety knowledge (certification preferred)
- Following and executing recipes without supervision
- Making custards, cakes, icings, and cookies
