This contract role includes per diem, temp housing, and travel allowance.
This position reports to the CNO.
Responsibilities
- Directs the staff and programs of the OR, Recovery Room, and Same Day Surgery, develops and introduces approved standards and guidelines for services
- Ensures the quality of care for patients
- Oversees the activities of the clinical unit and assigned staff
- Collaborates with the Manager / Director on issues, supervises, directs, coaches, and mentors staff while ensuring the quality of care
- Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and objectives
- Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required
- 5 years experience in OR setting required
- 3 years management experience required
- ACLS
- PALS
- RN license or compact RN license
