PICU Registered Nurse

Will work 3x12s hours alternating shifts 7pm-730am / 7am-730pm depending on unit needs with holiday rotation
Weekend REQ : EOW
Is on-call REQ : N / A
Ratios : 1 : 2 / 1 : 3 - mixed unit with ICU and Stepdown patients so ratios would be 1 : 3 for Stepdown.
Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes
Years of experience REQ : 2 years of PICU experience

Experience Preferred : ECMO, CRRT
License REQ : SC or Multi State / Compact RN license
Certs REQ : BLS, PALS (MUSC only accepts American Heart Association (AHA))

Locals accepted : yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less than the posted bill rate.
RTO Restrictions : all RTO must be submitted at time of submission. Approval based off unit needs
Guaranteed Hours : Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
UNIT DETAILS :
The Pediatric Intensive Care unit is an 28 bed unit providing intensive and intermediate care to children ages 0-18 from across the state of South Carolina.
The unit cares for patients with a blend of medical and surgical diagnoses. Common diagnoses include, but are not limited to, respiratory compromise, trauma, post-operative surgical patients requiring immediate intensive care support, and neurology / neurosurgery.
In addition to ventilatory and cardiac support, the unit provides ECMO / CRRT, renal or peritoneal dialysis and additional complex supportive therapies .
Pediatric Palliative care is available as needed. The staffing mix includes Registered Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, and Unit Secretaries with therapeutic supportive services such as Respiratory Therapy, Pediatric Dietitians, and Pediatric Pharmacist available as needed.
