Join Avera as a Lead - Behavioral Health Technician to join our Team!

Work directly with patients to provide services in a compassionate manner.
Work collaboratively with other members of the team.
Student Loan Repayment : This position may be eligible for Avera’s Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps you pay off your loans and save money.

Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster.

Job Summary

To provide physical and psychological care to patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. Assumes responsibility and accountability for individual actions and outcomes of patient care delivered.

Education and / or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, criminal justice, education, behavior analysis, health or social sciences, counseling, alcohol studies, liberal arts, or any other human services and / or medical field is required.
Preferred candidates will have clinical experience, facilitating group therapy sessions and knowledge and skills in crisis management.
Preferred candidates will also have experience working with clients having dual diagnosis disorders (substance use disorders in conjunction with mental health conditions)

CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and / or REGISTRATIONS

South Dakota Professional License (Social Work, Nursing, Counseling or Psychology) preferred.
Certification as a South Dakota Addiction Counselor Trainee, Certified Addiction Counselor or Licensed Addiction Counselor is required.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.â€

$19.50 - $29.50 per hour
