Healthcare Authorization Specialist II - MPF Central Authorizations

JOB SUMMARY :

Under general supervision the Healthcare Authorization Specialist II is responsible for ensuring that insurance benefits are verified, patient responsibility estimates are calculated and communicated to the patient and / or family and authorization is secured timely for all assigned service types. The incumbent is responsible for being a specialist in their area for internal and external customer inquiries as well as supporting various communication needs as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent

2 years of Healthcare Authorization experience or 4 years of experience in Healthcare Revenue

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Experience with Epic or other EMR Systems

5 years of experience

Bilingual English / Spanish

Behavioral Health Experience

The current salary range for this position is $23.10 to $31.77
