Position Summary :
Sensiba is seeking a Tax Manager to join the Venture Capital Tax practice. The VC tax practice is national in scope, serving primarily early-stage venture fund and related entity clients in San Francisco / Silicon Valley but also in Southern California as well as in New York, Boston, Chicago and elsewhere in the We are looking for someone with a passion for client service and the Venture Capital industry to grow the practice with us.
The successful applicant’s growth in the position will be highly supported by internal and external educational opportunities and by outstanding guidance provided by senior members of the Venture tax group.
This role will require technical expertise in accounting and tax related matters, as well as creativity, adaptability, thoughtfulness, and a dedication and passion for client service and teamwork.

Responsibilities :
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to :
Manage teams on client assignments and projects efficiently
Review tax projects primarily for venture capital-related partnerships (LPs and LLCs), and with substantially less frequency, for C and S corporations
With an analytical mindset, identify and resolve complex issues in client work; conduct tax research and create technical memos as applicable
Coach team members, recognize their strengths, encourage them to develop strategic goals in line with department goals, and manage / monitor workload
Develop / lead technical training on specialized topics
Identify client needs and opportunities to better serve our clients
Contribute to conception and execution of firm initiatives
Contribute to business development efforts, assisting with proposals and building a network
