Title : Manual Machinist - 2nd Shift (4 : 20 pm - 12 : 30 am M-F)

Location : Cary, IL

Hire Type : Contract to Hire

Salary : $28-33 / hrly

Responsibilities :

  • Operate manual tool room equipment
  • Perform custom and repair machining of plant related equipment (builds / rebuilds machinery)
  • Troubleshoot high spped assembly equipment, and produce spare parts for assembly equipment
  • Must be able to read mechanical blueprints
  • Perform calibrations, must be able to machine parts to close tolerances (+ / -.0005) using conventional tool room equipment (mill, drill press, chop saw, lathe, surface grinder, push and pull broaches)
  • Cut, shape and fabricate tools
  • Regularly clean and maintain machinery

Requirements :

  • HS Diploma / GED
  • Must be able to machine parts to close tolerances (+ / -.0005) using convential tool room equipment
  • CNC Mill / Lathe operation and / or set up experience preferred
  • Must have general machinist hand tools (micrometers, calipers, indicator, edge finder, square, scale, wrenches, screwdrivers, toolbox)
