JOB SUMMARY

Provides essential connectivity and operational support for Library Services’ network.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Four (4) years of closely related experience to these duties.

Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must pass a required pre-employment background check and subsequent mandatory background checks in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Diagnoses, repairs, and installs computer-related hardware and / or software systems.
• Provides complete computer networking support and set up.
• Provides support for client software and applications. Assists IS management and customers in making appropriate decisions regarding hardware needs, performance improvements and training.
• Helps with approved application software for configuration, customization and troubleshooting.
• Assists with the Help Desk Technical Support Line. Maintains complete, accurate and timely documentation of assistance requests, work performed and communication with users.
• Works as part of a team in the creation of policy and procedures for the technical support group.
• Communicates with customer to keep customer informed of timeframes and status of calls.
