PsyPhyCare is on the lookout for a compassionate and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) in Indianapolis, IN. As the DON, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing the entire spectrum of clinical care, ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of service from admission to discharge.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and support our team of caregivers and field staff, addressing any clinical concerns with tact and efficiency. You'll be the go-to person for coaching and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Drive the process of evaluating competencies during onboarding and continuously thereafter to ensure our team remains at the forefront of healthcare excellence.
- Coordinate seamless client care, fostering strong communication channels between patients, caregivers, and our team.
- Keep a close eye on patient care processes, guaranteeing that our services consistently meet the highest quality standards and align with best practices.
- Play an integral role in the recruitment and hiring process, both for our internal team and any external talents we bring on board.
- Act as a bridge to our business development manager, contributing your clinical expertise to further our mission and vision.
- Cultivate a culture of collaboration and trust by fostering healthy relationships with both our office staff and external team members.
- Uphold strict compliance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations, as well as the company's own set of rules and standards.
- Provide valuable support to our marketing efforts, helping to spread the word about the exceptional care we provide.
Requirements :
- An active RN license, with a preference for those with a BSN.
- Previous experience in Home Health Care is preferred, with at least one year in a supervisory or management role.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License is a must.
- Physical capabilities that allow you to communicate effectively in English, travel locally, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform various tasks related to patient care, including walking, standing, kneeling, sitting, and climbing stairs.
- The ability to reposition patients, move equipment without assistance, and respond adeptly to any emergency situations that may arise.
Environment :
You'll primarily work from the office during agency hours but should feel comfortable with in-home patient visits, admissions, and certifications.
