Diesel Mechanic - East Dundee, IL
Are you a skilled Mechanic with a passion for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel-powered vehicles and machines?
We are currently seeking a qualified Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics assessments, and parts repair and replacement on a variety of diesel-powered vehicles, including trucks, pick-up trucks and trailers.

- Working hours Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. till 5 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. till 12 p.m.
- Compensation : 1000-1100 weekly
Responsibilities :
- Conduct preventative maintenance on shop and customer trucks and trailers
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics assessments, focusing on engines and emissions
- Efficiently repair and replace parts, ensuring cost-effective sourcing of components
- Conduct inspections of trailers to identify and address any issues
Requirements :
- Advanced knowledge of diesel and gas engine repair
- Proficiency in inspection and diagnostics assessment
- Ability to supply and maintain tools needed for essential duties
- Cummins Certified is a strong plus
- Fluent in English and another Eastern-European language like Romanian / Russian / Ukrainian
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Training as a Mechanic with a focus on diesel and gas engine repair
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with air brakes endorsement is a plus
- Minimum 3-5 years in a mechanic shop; at least 3 years of diesel engine repair experience
- B Mechanic experience is highly preferred
- Significant physical activity, including continuous standing, climbing, stooping, reaching, bending, kneeling, and walking on the shop floor for extended durations
- Ability to lift or carry up to 75 lbs
- Work environment involves exposure to hazards or physical risks, requiring adherence to standard safety protocols
