About the role :

We’re seeking a Project Manager, Electronic Toll Collection Systems (ETC) and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) to monitor alignment between the project(s) and the organization through effective stakeholder management.

The project manager will also be responsible for timely communication and change management throughout the entirety of the project(s).

You’ll join an innovative team, who works through business changes (e.g. developing people and process capabilities) and technical changes (e.

g. systems development, deployment, and integration) to produce holistic business solutions.

Day-to-day, you will :

  • Develop full scale technology project management plans including project timelines, milestones, and resource needs.
  • Manage end-to-end work for all technology project phases, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, training, implementation and transition, in accordance with the project methodology.
  • Maintain organization to drive and manage the processes required, verify scope of work, and ensure project needs are met, while adhering to business objectives.
  • Estimate project costs as input to the Business Case and Program Planning.
  • Oversee all processes involved in budgeting, monitoring and controlling of costs in accordance with Transurban's financial management guidelines.
  • Monitor quality, resource, stakeholder, vendor, and procurement management throughout the entirety of the project, ensuring timely and effective communication to all parties involved.
  • Identify, document and assess risks, issues and dependencies impacting the project.

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferable skills and experiences, including :

  • 5+ years' experience in Electronic Toll Collection Systems and / or Intelligent Transportation Systems.
  • Extensive Project Management of technology projects, with oversight of ongoing financial metrics.
  • People management expertise, with the ability to lead, manage and mentor less experienced Project Managers and team members.
  • Applied knowledge of project management applications such as MS Project, Primavera P6, MS Office, Visio, financial tracking tools.
  • Extensive experience managing the development, production and control of project documentation, particularly in a cross functional delivery team environment.
  • Experience in one or more internationally recognized project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile), preferred.
  • Demonstrated strength with various soft skills such as communication, decision-making, influencing stakeholders, problem solving and collaboration.
