Our Clinical Nurses in TCU independently provide continuing care and complex treatments to patients presenting with varied medical and surgical interventions.

Working with a dedicated rehabilitation team, the RN provides evidence-based, high-quality patient care and safety, and serves as a resource for other team members.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• Education and Work Experience :
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and successfully completed the State Board of Nursing Licensure Exam
• BSN Preferred
• Must possess 1 year of current clinical experience
• Must obtain 20 Contact hours per year, fifty percent of which must be clinically focused. Academic course credits may be used on a 1 : 1 credit hour exchange.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

• RN License
• Certification Requirements :
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR / BLS upon hire
• Specialty Certifications :
• PACU, ICU, Cath Lab, Angiography, Lung Center, McAuley Surgery Center - ACLS within 1 year of hire or 6 months of promotion
• ED - ACLS within 6 months of hire / promotion & ENPC or PALS within 1 year
• Mother / Baby, NICU / PEDS - NRP within 6 months of hire / promotion
• Labor & Delivery - NRP within 6 months of hire / promotion and EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) within 1 year of hire
• Telemetry - ACLS within 1 year of hire, within 18 months of hire if new grad
• Chemotherapy Clinic (Outpatient Chemo) - ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification within 1 year of hire and OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification within 2 years of hire
