Overview
We are seeking a skilled Linux Technician to join our team in a Tier 1 / 2 support role. This position involves providing technical support in production, is application focused, and includes some automation, scripting, and monitoring.
The ideal candidate will have a background in Linux systems and experience with Python, Bash, Ansible, Splunk, and Grafana.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 / 2 support for Linux systems.
- Automate routine tasks using Python, Bash, and Ansible.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues using Splunk and Grafana.
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of Linux servers.
- Respond to and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other IT staff to improve system reliability and efficiency.
- Document processes and solutions for future reference.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Linux system administration and support.
- Proficiency in scripting with Python and Bash.
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk and Grafana.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, CompTIA Linux+).
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
