MaxLinear is seeking a Senior Director of AMS & Power Design to join our team. In this role, you will focus on the following :

• Leadership and Strategy :
• Provide strong technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the AMS engineering team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish technology roadmaps, product strategies, and project plans aligned with MaxLinear’s overall business objectives.
• Identify emerging trends, technologies, and market demands to drive innovation in AMS product development.
• Project Management :
• Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with the highest level of quality.
• Define project milestones, allocate resources, and manage risks effectively.
• Track progress, report status, and provide regular updates to executive management and stakeholders.
• Technical Excellence :
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in analog and mixed-signal semiconductor technologies and apply this knowledge to enhance product performance and competitiveness.
• Review and approve technical specifications, design documents, and test plans to ensure compliance with industry standards and MaxLinear’s quality standards.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence within the engineering team.
• Team Development :
• Recruit, train, and retain top engineering talent, building a high-performing and motivated AMS engineering team.
• Conduct performance evaluations, set individual and team goals, and facilitate career development opportunities for team members.
• Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages open communication and teamwork.
• Customer and Partner Engagement :
• Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to understand customer requirements, market trends, and competitive landscapes to drive the development of customer-centric solutions.
• Engage with key customers and strategic partners to build strong relationships, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for collaboration and co-development.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing engineering teams, with a track record of successfully delivering complex analog semiconductor products to market.
• Profound knowledge of HPA design methodologies, simulation tools, and verification techniques.
• Strong understanding of the full product development lifecycle, from concept to production, and the ability to drive projects to successful completion.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage with customers and partners.
• BS in Electrical Engineering or related +15 years of experience, or MS + 13 years of experience, or Ph.D. + 10 years of experience.

Compensation And Benefits

MaxLinear has a Total Compensation philosophy which includes base salary and annual discretionary bonus eligibility, and many positions also include stock-based compensation.

MaxLinear expects to offer a starting base salary within the range of : $186,100 to $288,995 Annually.

The actual starting base salary will be determined by the match to certain role-related criteria such as educational degree(s) or equivalent, relevant work experience, skillset needed for the role, and geographic location;
