They are currently looking for a dynamic and visionary Chief Financial Investment Officer (CFIO) to lead their financial strategy and investment initiatives.
The CFIO will play a critical role in managing their global financial resources, ensuring sustainable growth, and maximizing the impact of their programs.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, extensive nonprofit experience, and a robust background in global accounting and financial management.
Key Responsibilities for the Chief Financial Investment Officer :
- Strategic Financial Leadership :
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the mission and long-term goals.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors.
- Investment Management :
- Manage and optimize their investment portfolio to ensure alignment with their values and financial objectives.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis and risk assessments to inform investment decisions.
- Develop and implement investment policies and procedures.
- Global Accounting and Financial Management :
- Oversee global accounting operations, including compliance with international accounting standards and regulations.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across all regions where they operate.
- Lead initiatives to enhance financial systems, processes, and controls.
- Leadership and Team Development :
- Provide strong leadership to the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and develop staff to build a high-performing finance team.
- Promote a shared vision of financial stewardship and transparency within the organization.
- Nonprofit Financial Expertise :
- Leverage extensive experience in nonprofit financial management to support grant acquisition, donor relations, and program funding.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and donor requirements.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements, audits, and tax filings.
- Stakeholder Engagement :
- Engage with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and regulatory bodies, to enhance financial sustainability and accountability.
- Represent the organization in financial and investment discussions with external partners and networks.
Qualifications for the Chief Financial Investment Officer :
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally throughout the year.
- Several years of progressive financial management experience, including senior leadership experience.
- Proven experience in nonprofit financial management, including global accounting practices.
- Demonstrated success in managing investment portfolios and making strategic financial decisions.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
