About The Position
Weekly Pay Range - $1722 To $1913 Job Title : Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse - Nights Job Specialty : MICU Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 00) Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience License : Valid compact or state nursing license Certifications : BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only) Must-Have : EPIC experience required Job Description : Work 3x12-hour night shifts, including every other weekend- Provide care primarily for 1 : 1-2 patient ratios in a Medical ICU setting- Utilize proficiency in IV starts and experience with telemetry- Exhibit competency with ventilators- Apply specialized experience in treating multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, COVID, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), liver failure, and renal failure- Perform continuous glucose monitoring for hyperglycemia and manage externalized IV pumps for COVID-positive patients- Utilize and have knowledge of specialized equipment including NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV Pump, GE Cardiac Monitor, and GE Ventilator- Contribute to patient care using a boom lift in each patient room- Preferred qualifications include previous travel nursing experience and proficiency in EPIC documentation system- Requires adherence to rigorous credentialing and fingerprinting processes- Travel compliance must be met with urgency, especially for candidates outside of the local 60-mile radius Additional Information : Flu vaccine is required, with medical exemptions only.
Candidates who are currently employees are ineligible for this travel assignment if they have been employed within the past 6 months.
Orientation includes 24 hours non-billable. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate.
