Material Handler at Enru with Surestaff Services
Job Summary : This role is located on-site in Bolingbrook, IL, USA. Reads work order or follows verbal instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved within the co-mail area & operating lines.
2nd shift
3pm-1130pm for $15.25
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and comply with all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in day-to-day production activities accurately following detailed work instructions, processes, and procedures.
- Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
- May load materials into trucks and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools and / or automated machines.
- Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area, using hand truck, electric dolly, or another device.
- Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
- Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on materials or containers.
- Stacks or assembles materials using equipment as appropriate.
- May occasionally operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
- Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.
Physical Demands
- Standing, walking, bending, pushing, and reaching
- Ability to finger and grasp materials.
- Repetitive motion
- Requires ability to exert 10 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and / or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Frequently required to stand for up to 12 hours, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, carry and walk throughout the warehouse.
- Must be able to continuously work in varying temperatures, hot and cold.
