Job Overview

The Manager Marketing and Communications manages a team of Marketing Strategists and Marketing Specialists. This role is pivotal in establishing marketing and communications as a strategic thought leader and valued resource among our internal clients across our system of care.

It is our goal to provide the best possible service, support and guidance to our clinical program leaders and providers.

The Manager will thrive on building strong relationships with key stakeholders. This position provides strategic marketing leadership with internal clients and across the marketing and communications team.

They will lead the creation, execution, and analysis of integrated marketing strategies throughout multiple communication channels, for hospital service lines and clinical focus areas.

The Manager works across the marketing and communications team and key leadership in the strategic marketing planning process, market research, and the tracking and reporting of data intelligence to reveal actionable insights.

This position partners with creative and digital counterparts to guide the strategic vision and lead internal program delivery.

The Manager coaches the marketing strategy team through the creative briefing, presentation, campaign planning, cost estimating, financial management and post campaign analysis across service lines and clinical focus areas.

The ability to understand and drive integration across all marketing and communications disciplines is essential.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, communications, business, healthcare administration or related field.
  • EXPERIENCE Five (5)years of experience in a related field.
  • EQUIVALENCY Professional experience, beyond requirements, in a related field may substitute for a Bachelor degree requirement on year for year basis.
  • CERTIFICATION(S) N / A
  • LICENSURE N / A

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Seven (7) years professional experience in a related field, 2 of those years in a personnel management role
  • Proven experience in development, implementation and measurement of integrated strategic

marketing plans

  • Strong business knowledge with the ability to quickly grasp important opportunities
  • Experience in people management and leadership with strong mentoring skills
  • Proven commitment to excellent client service at all levels
  • Experience in digital marketing and integration
  • Highly organized and dependable; able to multitask, work quickly and manage multiple deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with relevant technology and software applications
  • Must demonstrate initiative and proactivity in seeking new opportunities and solutions, keeping up to date with industry / market trends
  • Healthcare experience is an advantage

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the marketing strategy team in the development and implementation of annual strategic marketing and communications plans for service lines, clinical focus areas and / or community programs
  • Establish and document best practices for the creation and implementation of such plans
  • Integrate strategies across relevant channels including web, mobile, social, direct, print, PR, etc.
  • Implement business analytics, assessments and intelligence that support overall marketing strategy and ROI
  • Build strong working relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders and internal client leadership including service line leaders, physicians, operations, finance, and strategy and planning in the planning and execution of strategic initiatives for assigned programs
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive process rigor and idea generation for the marketing planning process
  • Develop creative briefs and communicate strategic objectives to internal team members to ensure initiatives are completed in alignment with business objectives and brand standards
  • Contribute to the department’s budget planning cycle, aligning marketing plans with overall system goals and objectives

Guidelines : Guidelines are in the form of stated vision and objectives for the division or department. 1st level manager performs a combination of management and supervisory duties and responsibilities.

Work is tactical and operational in nature.

Complexity : Work assignment is unstructured and employee is responsible for implementing and managing a variety of objectives, resources, and strategies to achieve the goals of the division or agency.

Duties performed include operational and organizational planning, developing standards, schedules, priorities, guidelines, processes, measurement (evaluation) systems, implementation of production and performance management standards, and allocating resources.

Salary Information

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week) : $94,871.97 to $142,307.96

Hourly Salary Range : $45.61 to $68.42
