We are looking for an Regional Outside Sales Representative to promote our agronomic solutions within an established territory (throughout the Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC region).
As part of this remote job, you will solicit new and existing accounts, create and implement sales strategies, execute sales promotions, and will learn a great deal about our products.
Essential responsibilities include :
- Set challenging service performance goals.
- Address and anticipate needs that customers will have regarding products, pricing, availability, product uses, and credit terms.
- Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs.
- Set and achieve challenging sales and margin goals to achieve / exceed budget, develop the market, and build market share.
- Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders.
- Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
- Provide customers with product samples and catalogs.
- Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
- Arrange and direct delivery and installation of products and equipment.
- Monitor and evaluate market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
- Negotiate details of contracts and payments and prepare sales contracts and order forms.
- Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, keeping sales records, and filing reports.
- Keep Manager informed on achievement of goals and key performance indicators (sales effectiveness process - SEP)
- Obtain credit information about prospective customers.
- Communicate with manufacturers on product pricing and availability.
- Participate as an active team member in division sales meetings.
- Work remotely from a dedicated home office with minimal distractions.
- Perform all other duties as directed, in support of the overall success of the division and company.
To apply for this job a bachelor’s degree is required (preferably in agronomy or horticulture). If you have at least two years of horticulture sales experience, that’s a plus!

The candidate will be paid based on their work experience and skills, with the minimum starting salary for this position being $65, By year two the candidate will be expected to transition to a fully commissioned status, with greater earning potential.
