This Opportunity

FPA is currently searching for a full-time Structural Engineer in our Wall, New Jersey Office . We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer with 3 to 10 years of experience in building design.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design of buildings and related structures in accordance with local and national codes.
  • Develop structural plans, details, specifications, and calculations.
  • Collaborate with other engineering and architectural disciplines to create integrated design solutions.
  • Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and support construction administration activities.
  • Conduct field inspections and site visits as needed.
  • Assist with project planning, scoping, and client coordination.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of work through reviews and coordination.
  • Contribute to mentoring and supporting junior staff as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • EIT certification.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or plan to attain PE license in the future.
  • 3 to 10 years of experience in structural design of buildings.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as RISA, ETABS, RAM, or STAAD.
  • Experience with Revit and AutoCAD for developing construction documents.
  • Solid understanding of applicable building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities.

    The projected salary range for this position is $75,000 to $125,000, depending on experience, education, and skills.
