Job Description
SUMMARY : ASRC Federal Field Services provides logistical support at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in North Charleston (FLETC Federal Complex off Sprull Avenue).
We are looking for a General Maintenance Worker (GMW).
Roles / Responsibilities :
- Replace electrical receptacles, wire, bulb, ballast, switches, fixtures, and motors.
- Use plaster and compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings.
- Repair or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets.
- Paint structures and equipment.
- Repair or replace concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks.
- Replace damaged paneling and floor tiles.
- Hang doors and install door locks.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance on exhaust fans, emergency lighting, HVAC equipment, water coolers, pumps, and facility operating equipment.
Requirements
Requirement :
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
- Must have 2 years of recent experience as a General Maintenance worker.
- Must be a US or Naturalized Citizen.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving history and able to operate a vehicle.
- Must be able to push, pull and / or lift 70 lbs.
- Clear and effective written and communication skills.
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen and physical.
