Company Overview : A renowned manufacturing company located in Spokane Valley is looking for a seasoned Sales / Project Manager to join their dynamic team.
This firm specializes in producing high-quality parts for the aerospace, medical, and technology sectors.
Position Summary : The Sales / Project Manager will oversee a variety of projects from the request for quotation (RFQ) phase through to New Product Introduction (NPI) completion and ongoing production and quality assurance support.
This role demands a solid background in injection molding and machining, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and exceptional communication and time management skills.
The successful candidate will interpret engineering drawings, solid models, and specifications to fully grasp customer requirements, working collaboratively with internal departments to meet cost-effective and efficient objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Project Oversight :
- Lead multiple projects from start to finish, ensuring on-time delivery and sustainable production practices.
- Plan and adjust project timelines and strategies as needed to meet changing circumstances.
- Employ project management tools like Gantt charts and flow charts to maintain project organization and efficiency.
- Prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic, multi-faceted environment.
- Quotation & Estimation :
- Conduct risk analyses including Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Quality Assurance (QA) assessments.
- Generate comprehensive part quotes for customers, taking into account all manufacturing costs to maximize profitability.
- Prepare quotes for non-recurring engineering (NRE) expenses such as tools, fixtures, and test runs, based on customer or industry standards.
- New Product Introduction (NPI) :
- Collaborate with production teams to establish and refine manufacturing processes for new products.
- Coordinate first article inspections and create control plans and work instructions for pilot production runs.
- Ensure bill of materials (BOM) accuracy and validate against initial quotes and actual production performance.
- Manufacturing Support :
- Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings and assist in resolving non-conforming product issues.
- Support Engineering Change Notice (ECN) and Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes by managing part number revisions and material changes.
- Analyze root causes of production issues and develop effective manufacturing solutions.
- Interpersonal Skills :

- Provide technical support to the sales team to aid in account development.

Qualifications :
- At least five (5) years of experience in Program Management within the manufacturing industry, particularly in machining and injection molding.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems.
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks and other CAD software.
Compensation :
Starting at $80,000 - $85,000+, based on experience
