Under the general supervision of an Administrator I, the Senior Compliance Representative performs complex compliance activities such as developing and assisting in the implementation and on-going operation of a systematic strategy for the prevention and identification of fraudulent tax return filing activities. This includes working with professional and technical staff in departmental fraud prevention and detection activities, including Identification (ID) Theft. The incumbent develops, implements, and maintains various system and manual processes to help strengthen the integrity of the department's return filing system.

  • Advanced level experience with Microsoft Office 2013 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, Skype for Business, Access, and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Return Analysis, Case Management, Taxpayer Folder, Taxpayer Information (TI), Integrated Nonfiler Compliance (INC), Accounting and Compliance Enterprise System (ACES), and PEGA
  • Working knowledge of Personal Income Tax (PIT) and Business Entity (BE) laws, policies, and procedures
  • Working knowledge of the Fraud program : W2, Identification (ID) Theft, and Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC)
  • Experience in SPSS predictive analytic tool
  • Make independent decisions, while maintaining flexibility and creative problem solving skills
  • Create and maintain a positive, productive and creative work environment
  • Analytical ability to identify statistical anomalies
  • Flexible and able to maintain effectiveness with changing priorities as well as able to thrive in an environment of change
