BlazerJobs is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year in Richton Park, IL.
This full-time position involves co-teaching math in a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, working collaboratively with general education teachers to provide high-quality instruction to students with special needs.
Responsibilities :
- Co-teach math classes alongside general education teachers, providing support and specialized instruction to students with special needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education planstailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Adapt curriculum materials and teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to instructional strategies as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student learning and growth.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid Illinois teaching certification with a special education endorsement.
- Experience co-teaching, particularly in math, is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to improving educational outcomes for students with special needs.
