Banyan Treatment Centers is recruiting a full-time Cook to join our team in Boca, Raton, FL.

Location :

On-site in Boca Raton, FL

Schedule :

• 10 : 30am to 7pm, schedules days to be further discussed.
Pay Scale :
• $15-20 / HR
• $15-20 / HR

The Cook provides food services in a residential environment, while communicating with and accessing the support of professional staff.

Essential Functions :

• Works in collaboration with the Managing Chef to help with the development of menus.
• Maintains cleanliness of dining room and kitchen and assure preparation and handling of food in accordance to sanitary and with national and local standards.
• Requisition food, supplies and equipment.
• Inspect and taste food for quality.
• Helps in the ordering of food, as needed by Director of Food Services.
• Inspect and supervise serving of food.
• Responsible for quality and quantity of food served.
• Assure preparation of sufficient quantities of food in time to meet meal schedules.
• Assure storage of perishables and avoidance of food spoilage and waste.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others and a variety of employees.

Qualifications :

• 1 year of experience as a Cook (or related)
• Experience in the area of sanitation, hygiene, & food preparation.
