A company is looking for a Senior Safety Methodology Engineer to develop and defend Design Basis Accident methods in the nuclear energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate on modeling techniques for Design Basis Accident events
Prepare and document analytic methodology reports, defending assumptions and approaches
Conduct sensitivity studies using relevant codes to validate methodology performance
Required Qualifications
B.S. (+10 years), M.S. (+7 years), or Ph.D. (+5 years) in nuclear, mechanical, or related engineering / science fields
Experience with transient safety analysis and methodology development
Knowledge of Licensing Basis Events and regulatory requirements
Strong thermal hydraulic and transient system modeling skills
Experience with code validation & verification in nuclear safety applications
