Job Description

Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction - Responsibilities :

  • Assisting the Project Manager in all phases of construction projects, including planning, budgeting, and execution
  • Coordinating with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying potential issues, and implementing solutions to keep projects on track
  • Preparing and maintaining project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and reports
  • Conducting site visits to monitor work progress, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and address any on-site issues
  • Communicating effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to provide project updates and address concerns
  • Assisting in managing project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective use of resources
  • Supporting the Project Manager in negotiating contracts and change orders
  • Ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality standards and in accordance with project specifications

The Successful Applicant

Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction - Successful Candidate :

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in construction management or a related role
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and project management principles
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed
