RBR-Technologies is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to support one of our customers in Columbia, MD.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Configure and optimize network switches, routers and firewalls
• Configure Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS)
• Manage application layer filtering on NextGen Firewalls
• Configure and troubleshoot virtual networking, VLANs, and virtual routing and forwarding (VRFs)
• Develop and implement network backup and recovery procedures.
• Diagnose network connectivity problems
• Install and maintain network infrastructure device operating system software
• Monitor network capacity and performance
• Mitigate network vulnerabilities to ensure information is safeguarded against outside parties
• Test and maintain network infrastructure including software and hardware devices
• Configure and manage a VMware Cluster to support multiple tenant systems.

REQUIREMENTS

• Active TS / SCI with polygraph
• Master's degree in STEM AND 10 years' experience, OR
• Bachelor's degree in STEM AND 12 years' experience, OR
• High school diploma and 15 years' experience as a Network Engineer
• Experience with Cisco IOS and PAN-OS
• Ability to demonstrate cyber / IT related experience with attention to detail, customer service, oral and written communication, and problem solving.
• Active DoD IAT Level III certification (e.g. CISSP, CCSP, GCIH, GCED, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA)
• Active Cisco certification
