Position : Supply Chain Manager
Location : Allentown, PA
Compensation : Base salary of $140,000 - $160,000, with a 10-20% bonus potential
Travel : Approximately 25% travel to Springfield, MO, as well as occasional trips to two plants in Ireland.
Overview :
This is a dynamic, hands-on role for a Supply Chain leader who is ready to drive the expansion and improvement of the supply chain team.
The organization has been rapidly growing through acquisitions and needs someone who can analyze the current supply chain, identify areas for improvement, and prepare the team for the next phase of growth as they expand operations domestically and internationally.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage, plan, and execute a global supply chain strategy, supporting expansion into new regions and countries.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of the current supply chain processes and implement improvements to prepare for future growth.
- Drive Lean practices and Operations Excellence across multiple manufacturing plants.
- Grow the procurement and strategic sourcing team through hiring, mentoring, and developing new leaders.
- Collaborate with an 8-9 person team at Corporate, including buyers, planners, and a logistics supervisor, as well as coordinate with teams in Ireland and Springfield, MO.
Ideal Experience :
- Background in capital equipment or machinery, with expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier management, procurement strategies, production planning, and international logistics.
- Proven leadership in managing multiple plants within a global organization, with a strong focus on procurement and strategic sourcing.
- Experience developing global sourcing strategies and supporting launches in new markets.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Business.
- A successful track record in operational, tactical, and strategic facets of a global supply chain, with the ability to implement change and effect improvements.
- Approximately 80% of the role involves procurement and strategic sourcing, with an interface between production planning and international shipping.
