Location Preferred is Minneapolis, MN but open for remote as well.

Job Description

  • Defines, describes, diagrams and documents the role and interaction of the high-level technological and human components that combine to provide cost effective and innovative solutions to meet evolving business needs.
  • Develop process models that overlay technology eco-systems.
  • Promotes, guides and governs good business solutions architectural practice through the application of well defined, proven technology and human interaction patterns and through architecture mentorship.
  • Conduct meetings with customers and transform requirements into effective applications.
  • Evaluate application development needs and apply technical principles and concepts to develop business solutions.
  • Analyze procedures and data to develop logical solutions to complex applications programming problems.
  • Recommend, design, and develop complex applications and supporting hardware and software.
  • Perform complex application analysis design and development duties.
  • Evaluate application development practices and create development standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Create application design standards.
  • Monitor quality assurance and security procedures for business applications.
  • Ensure application design and development policies are adhered to.
  • Independently perform complex application development / programming analysis.
  • Provide detailed design and specification documentation for all applications anddatabases.
  • Develop and maintain database standards.
  • Participate in daily standups as required.
  • Familiarly with Digital Health technologies patient facing & hospital facing technologies.

Architect Important Skills

  • Experience with Cloud Architecture and best practice.
  • Experience deploying scalable Node.js applications.
  • Experience with microservice architecture.
  • Strong cybersecurity expertise.
  • Experience guiding and mentoring developers.

Cloud Expertise

  • Develop and maintain Cloud Applications alongside other engineers and developers.
  • Interpreting briefs to create high-quality coding that functions according to specifications.
  • Contribute to application design.
  • Determine application functions and building objectives with Supplier stakeholders.
  • Ensure that written code falls in line with the provided project objectives.
  • Problem solving with other Supplier stakeholders in the project.
  • Identifying and resolving immediate and potential issues with applications.
  • Participating in group meetings with Supplier stakeholders to discuss projects and objectives.
  • Participate in daily standups as required.
  • Experienced in a variety of software languages / technologies including Node.js, TypeScript, AWS native technologies.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Database experience.
  • Experience translating product requirements into design specifications.
  • Experience working on R&D activities.

Must Have (Minimum Qualifications)

  • FHIR & HL7V2 : Working knowledge and experience implementing healthcare data exchange solutions with FHIR and HL7v2 standards.
  • AWS Platform : Working experience with AWS services in particular serverless architectures (S3, RDS, Lamba, IAM, API Gateway, etc .

supporting API development in a microservices architecture.

  • Programming Languages : Strong programming skills in Python.
  • Data Formats : Experience with JSON, XML and other relevant data formats.
  • HealthCare Interoperability Tools : Previous experience with integration engines such as Intersystems, Lyniate, Redox, Mirth Connect, etc .
  • CI / CD Tools : experience setting up and managing CI / CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools.
  • Scripting and automation : experience in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, etc .
  • Monitoring and Logging : Familiarity with monitoring & logging tools like CloudWatch, ELK, Dynatrace, Prometheus, etc .
  • Source Code Management : Expertise with git commands and associated VCS (Gitlab, Github, Gitea or similar).
  • Documentation : Experience with markdown and in particular Antora for creating technical documentation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develops, documents, and configures systems specifications that conform to defined architecture standards, address business requirements, and processes in the cloud development & engineering.
  • Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting compliance and security standards.
  • API development using AWS services in a scalable, microservices based architecture.
  • Actively identifies system functionality or performance deficiencies, executes changes to existing systems, and tests functionality of the system to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, data integrity, conversion, input / output requirements, and storage.
  • May document testing and maintenance of system updates, modifications, and configurations.
  • May act as a liaison with key technology vendor technologists or other business functions.
  • Function Specific : Strategically design technology solutions that meet the needs and goals of the company and its customers / users.
  • Leverages platform process expertise to assess if existing standard platform functionality will solve a business problem or customization solution would be required.
  • Test the quality of a product and its ability to perform a task or solve a problem.
  • Perform basic maintenance and performance optimization procedures in each of the primary operating systems.
  • Ability to document detailed technical system specifications based on business system requirements.
  • Ensures system implementation compliance with global & local regulatory and security standards (i.e. HIPAA, SOCII, ISO27001, etc .)
