Responsibilities :

• Providing technical support to Customers, Suppliers, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, and Quality departments
• Under the guidance of more senior engineers, support the design, development and application of mechanical seals, bearings, tooling, and other Rexnord Aerospace products
• Create product definition packages, solid models, drawings and ECN’S. Support development of product validation packages
• Participate in Continuous Improvement events
• Maintain / support existing products (ie. Non-conformance dispositions and returned material analysis)

Minimum Qualifications :

• 0-3 years of experience in Design Engineering.
• Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• Capable of working within a team structure.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
• Ability to create and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of metals and composites.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Previous experience designing mechanical components.
• 2-10 years of experience designing seals and / or bearings.
• Knowledge of 3D Solid Modeling software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, CREO, and / or CATIA.
• Experience with Design of Experiments.
• Exposure to machining, heat treating, and / or grinding.
