The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the physical plant and equipment, production-ready and in safe operating condition.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and pneumatic equipment. Perform periodic preventative maintenance on all machinery.
Daily Functions :
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance issues.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
- Supervise and coordinate with external contractors for larger repair projects.
- Fabricate or modify parts as needed to complete repairs.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders by addressing their maintenance concerns promptly and professionally.
Education, Experience and Skills Preferred :
- High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus.
- 2-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience as maintenance technician.
- Strong electrical, pc and control skills required, including the ability to work with logic controllers.
- Familiarity with plumbing, electrical wiring, machinist work, circuits and carpentry preferred.
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
