Services Engineer II VMware / Windows
Location : Hybrid - Phoenix, AZ location and work from home
On-call rotation
Full-Time Position
As a Services Engineer II VMware / Windows you will
- Lead the setup, implementation, and configuration of MSP projects around Virtualization and Windows Operating systems
- Rely on strong problem-solving skills to understand and resolve both simple and complex technical issues
- Effectively work with multiple external clients on various projects, systems, and demands
- Drive tickets to closure meeting SLAs and client expectations
- Handle escalations from the Services Engineer I team
- Be familiar with working in ConnectWise Manage / Automate / Nilear
- Provide guidance and direction to Support Engineer I’s
- Perform on-call support duties on a rotating basis
- Any other duties as deemed necessary by Management
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 3+ years required experience with VMware / Windows setup, implementation, and configuration including related certifications preferred
- 1+ year Azure migration experience
- 1+ year of MSP, or similar client facing industry, experience highly preferred
- The ability to adapt and learn quickly
- Possess the ability and desire to develop relationships with clients and internal staff
- Follow process and identify possible improvements
- Ensure proper time management skills
- Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Here are the Must Have Technical Qualifications
High level working knowledge and experience in the following technologies :
Virtualization experience and management
- Nutanix Acropolis Hypervisor
- VMware running on Nutanix, Dell, HP or Cisco hardware
- Microsoft Hyper-V
Experience in Backup solutions :
- Veeam
- Barracuda
Perform and Validate Monthly Maintenance and Updates :
- VMware Updates
- Windows Updates
- Azure
- Active Directory including Azure AD
- System Certificates
- Microsoft Windows 2012 / 2016 / 2019 / 2022
