Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Orientation and Mobility Therapist to join a school district in Sauk Village, IL.
This is an excellent opportunity to provide essential services to students, contributing to their independence and confidence.

Responsibilities :
- Conduct assessments to determine students' orientation and mobility needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Provide direct instruction in orientation and mobility skills to students with visual impairments.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review student progress and develop strategies for improvement.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student evaluations and progress.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Orientation and Mobility or a related field.
- Valid certification as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist.
- Experience working with students with visual impairments is preferred.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
