STERLING HEALTHCARE AND REHABILITATION CENTER IS CURRENTLY SEEKING A PART TIME REGISTERED NURSE (RN) SUPERVISOR TO JOIN OUR TEAM!!
SALARY IS NEGOTIABLE!!
SHIFTS AVAIABLE ARE : PART TIME AND EVERY OTHER WEEKEND FOR 3-11 and 11p-7a
Essential Functions of the Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor are, but are not limited to :
- Promotes regulatory compliance through demonstrating working knowledge of long term care regulations and participating in efforts towards consistent survey readiness and assisting with completing plan of correction.
- Assists the nursing team in providing resident care when professional nursing skills / judgment is needed.
- Continually supervises and evaluates resident care throughout the shift
- Ensures any staffing changes are in alignment with budgeted staffing plan. Address any staffing concerns as they arise
- Identify learning needs of staff and participate in educational opportunities in collaboration with the Staff Development Coordinator and nursing leaders.
- Provide mentoring and coaching to staff when needed.
- Round on each nursing unit and respond to issues as needed / requested.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills and positive service excellence behaviors when dealing with all customers.
- Responsible for interacting directly with residents’ families to answer their questions and ease their concerns.
- Ensures and / or assists with transcribing all doctor orders timely and accurately.
- Oversees and / or assists with administering IVs and other medications.
- Assists with or complete admissions / discharging of the residents.
- Ensure safety of residents, customers and facility through awareness of and conscientious application of policies and procedures and emergency responses.
Qualifications for the Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor :
- 2-3 years of previous Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor experience
- Current Delaware RN license
- Knowledge of Point Click Care (PCC) nursing documentation program preferred
