About this role : Asa Dialysis Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) with Fresenius MedicalCare, you will be part of a close-knit, collaborative teamresponsible for delivering unique care plans and providing dialysistreatment to patients facing end stage renal disease or chronickidney disease.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES :
All duties andresponsibilities are expected to be performed in accordance withFresenius Kidney Care policy, procedures, standards of nursingpractice, state, and federalregulations.
- As a member of thenephrology health care team, you will participate indecision-making, teaching, leadership functions, and qualityimprovement activities that enhance patient care outcomes andfacility operations.
- Coordinates patient careincluding assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for anassigned group of hemodialysis patients.
This includes delegationof appropriate tasks to direct patient carestaff.
- Performs ongoing analysis of patientdata with each patient visit and documents in the patient medicalrecord.
- Adjusts or modify the treatment plan asindicated and notify supervisor asneeded.
- Provides initial and ongoing educationto patient and family.
- Administers medicationsas prescribed or in accordance with approved algorithm(s), anddocument appropriate medical justification andeffectiveness.
- Initiates or assist withemergency response measures.
- Ensures correctlaboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures areperformed.
- Collaborates with theInterdisciplinary Team on the patient careplan.
- Ensures patient awareness related totransplant and treatment modalityoptions.
- Completes CAP requirements to eithermaintain or advance within the program.
- Makesreferrals to Social Worker and Registered Dietitian asappropriate.
- Ensures patient awareness relatedto transplant and treatment modalityoptions.
EDUCATION ANDLICENSURE :
- Graduate of an accredited Schoolof Nursing.
- Current appropriate state licensure.
- Current or successful completion of CPR BLSCertification.
- Must meet the practice requirements inthe state in which he or she isemployed.
EXPERIENCE ANDSKILLS :
- Qualities and traits : compassion,caring, support for colleagues, collaborative, reliable.
- Experience as a Registered Nurse (preferred but notrequired).
- Chronic / acute hemodialysis experience(preferred but not required).
- Successfully pass theIshihara Color Blind Test.

- The employee mayoccasionally be required to move, with assistance, machines andequipment of up to 200 lbs., and may lift chemical and watersolutions of up to 30 lbs. as high as 5 feet.
- Thework environment is characteristic of a health care facility withair temperature control and moderate noise levels.
- May be exposed to infectious and contagiousdiseases / materials.
- Day to day work includes deskwork, computer work, interaction with patients, facility / hospitalstaff and physicians.
- The position may require travelto training sites or other facilities.
