ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Ensures a fun-filled and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence is paramount.
- Ensures four star service standards through the flawless execution of all assigned duties.
- Is responsible for the removal of all foreign materials from linens and uniforms.
- Disposes of foreign materials in accordance with established procedures.
- Sorts soiled laundry based on type and degree of soil.
- Inspects all linen for quality, checking for stains, wrinkles, and overall fabric condition / appearance.
- Hangs garments on racks.
- Pulls / pushes full and empty laundry carts.
- Completes all necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
- Maintains work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition at all times.
- Follows all established safety and security guidelines.
- Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same.
- Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures.
- Completes all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS :
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience preferred but not required.
- Must be a team player.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Able to work a flexible shift to include nights, holidays and weekends.
JOB DEMANDS :
- Lifts up to a maximum of 50 pounds and frequently lifts and / or carries up to 25 pounds.
- Position requires 35% standing, 5% sitting, 60% walking.
- Requires frequent kneeling, stooping, reaching over head and very frequent bending, pushing, twisting and climbing.
- Must be able to read, understand and tolerate the usage of cleaning chemicals.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, stressful environment.
- Must have the manual dexterity to operate cleaning equipment and machines.
- Must be able to work in areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
- Requires the ability to respond to speech, touch, smell, aural and visual cues.
