Job Opportunity : Reading Specialist & Math Teacher - Contracted Position
Are you an experienced Reading Specialist & Math Teacher seeking a new career opportunity? Soliant is currently hiring for a bined role near the Dorset, PAareafor the 2023-2024 school year.
Details :
- Duration : Immediate start through June 7, 2024
- Hours per week : 29
- Caseload : Still being developed, estimated 30-35 students
- Responsibilities :
- Implement Remedial Reading and Mathematics Services in a classroom setting under Act 89 guidelines.
- Collaborate with nonpublic schools and staff for curriculum enhancement, instructional improvement, and professional development.
- Design and conduct ongoing formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of content and pedagogy, continually seeking improved practices.
- Manage student behavior effectively and respectfully, creating a conducive learning environment.
- Provide clear, scaffolded explanations, quality feedback, and engage students in learning, adjusting lessons as needed.
- Reflect on lesson effectiveness, aligning with instructional outes, and make necessary adjustments.
Requirements :
- Certification : Reading Specialist Certification
- Experience : Field experience in relevant teaching roles
