Job Purpose / Summary :

This position includes but not limited to covering breaks of departmental employees according to the schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements.
• Learn and understand how to follow formulation sheets and add spices, water, puropack and meat at the correct levels as described on the formulation sheet.
• Additional and primary skills include but are not limited to; operating mixers, grinders, rework grinder and the corrector system.
• Drive tow motor to deliver blends to storage areas throughout the facility.
• Observe all safety and sanitation procedures and perform other jobs as assigned by the supervisor. Primary break coverage consists of scaler, mixer, and corrector position.
• Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
• Must perform all positions of rotation, if applicable.

Requirements :

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Must be able to work overtime and / or weekends as needed.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with rapid hand and eye coordination to move product on a conveyor and / or other processing equipment.
• Ability to strenuous flex / grip with wrist / hands frequently (10 -15 flexion / minute).
• Must be able to push / pull / lift with arms below waist / at shoulder / above shoulder level 20 pounds frequently. (At times
• Must be able to life / lower / carry up to 20 pounds or greater with back and legs.
• Must be able to constantly stand / stoop / walk / bend, up to 10 hrs.
• Must obtain a tow motor level 3 license.
• Occasional climbing of stairs several times per hour when required.
• Ability to work in wet and cold temperatures at 35 degrees.
• Able to complete all paperwork and SAP functions as required for position.
