Better Morning emerged as an outpatient behavioral health practice in Ashburn, VA in the year of 2014.
In addition to providing counseling from the Ashburn office, Better Morning started off as a certified provider for intensive in home and community-based services (IHCBS), for at risk youth in District of Columbia.
In August of 2017, Better Morning was certified as a Core service agency (CSA) by DC Department of Behavioral Health. Better morning founder’s passion for at risk youth and their family were the motivation to keep expanding the evidenced based programs to meet the need of the underserved population.
Job Description
We are seeking a Fee-for Service (16-20 hours per month) Child Psychiatrist or Nurse Practitioner.
Professional responsibilities include meeting with children and adolescents for psychiatric evaluations; treatment planning and prescribing and managing medication in a clinical office environment.
- The Nurse Practitioner is required to adhere to all DEA and FDA regulations regarding prescriptions of medications and will maintain and keep current all professional licenses.
- Qualifications include a Psychiatrist, Nurse Practitioner or Medical Doctor with appropriate residency training to practice child and adolescent psychiatry or psychiatric nursing.
- Child / adolescent specialization.
- Board certification preferred.
- A current valid DEA license.
- A medical license in good standing with the DC Board of Registration.
- Two to three years of prior experience performing evaluations, treatment planning and prescribing to children and adolescents.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Excellent typing and computer skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Keen attention to detail

Additional Information
Pay : $100.00 - $120.00 per hour
