???? About the Internship :Join our Christ-centered team in stewarding the people and culture behind our faith-based agency. We are seeking compassionate, motivated Clinical Interns to join our multidisciplinary team at Union Gospel Mission (UGM), a community-based homeless shelter dedicated to providing trauma-informed care and holistic support to individuals, couples, and families experiencing homelessness. This internship offers hands-on experience in systemic clinical practice, case management, and advocacy within a dynamic and challenging environment.
Interns will work directly with mission guests and residents to provide mental health support, systemic intervention, measure clinical outcomes, facilitate groups, and collaborate with staff to promote wellness and stability.

Key ResponsibilitiesConduct systemic clinical assessments and assist in developing individual and systemic care plansProvide solution focused and Intensive Family Therapy under supervisionFacilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic groups (e.g., coping skills, substance use recovery, trauma support)Collaborate with case managers, medical staff, and external providers to coordinate careMaintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency and ethical standardsParticipate in team meetings, supervision, and training sessionsAdvocate for clients’ access to housing, healthcare, and social services???? QualificationsCurrently enrolled in a graduate program in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related mental health fieldCompletion of foundational coursework in clinical theory and practiceStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCommitment to social justice and serving marginalized populationsPrior experience with homelessness, substance use, or mental health preferred but not required????
