JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE :               STAFF PSYCHIATRIST, FORENSIC CLINICAL SERVICES

GRADE :                     K

SALARY :                   $275,181

LOCATION :              2650 SOUTH CALIFORNIA AVENUE

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS 60608

STATUS :                    FULL TIME, IN PERSON

• Required Qualifications of a Staff Psychiatrist :

A staff psychiatrist must be a physician (Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy) licensed to practice in Illinois who has completed an approved residency in Psychiatry and who is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).  It is preferred that they be additionally certified in Forensic Psychiatry by the ABPN, or have completed an accredited fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry.

Staff psychiatrists are directly responsible to the Director / Assistant Director of Forensic Clinical Services.  They conduct psychiatric examinations on individuals referred from the Circuit Court of Cook County, and provide expert-witness court testimony and consultations to other professionals and the Court.
