About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse (RN)

Specialty : Medical Surgical ICU (MSICU)

Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : Nights

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (6 : 42 PM - 7 : 12 AM)

Experience : 2+ years of SICU experience, Open Heart trained

License : State License required

Certifications : ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)

Must-Have : Travel experience, Epic experience preferred

Description :

This position performs a variety of integrated pre and post-operative critical care functions.

The nursing process is intuitively applied using broad nursing knowledge in a caring and concerned manner.

The nurse assesses the patient for physical, emotional, psychosocial, and family support needs.

Organizing and coordinating all aspects of patient care according to the patient’s real and / or perceived needs is essential.

Evaluating patient progress involves correlating patient information with nursing knowledge.

The nurse determines if goals are being met according to the patient’s plan of care or clinical path.

Consultation and collaboration with members of the healthcare team is required for planning and implementing total patient care for individuals.

Three weekend shifts per four-week scheduling period (Friday and Saturday) are part of the schedule.
