Senior Accounting Director - Renewable Energy
The Senior Accounting Director is responsible for the management of the monthly close and financial reporting processes primarily focused on solar power generation.
Candidates should possess knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervision and review of monthly close process including account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements prepared by accounting associates.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results to owners, lenders and other third parties.
- Manage all aspects of servicing debt and reporting of financial covenants.
- Coordinate preparation of annual operating budgets and forecasts with power plant operations staff and commercial teams.
- Support commercial teams and renewable operations staff with contractual compliance.
- Support accounting system improvement projects
- Maintain a strong system of internal controls.
- Training of accounting staff.
